Chris Carriere

During Spring Break of my Senior year (Class of 86), I ended up dying my hair orange through the overuse of a product called Sun-In (peroxide) and beer.  The first day classes resumed, I was after school late for some reason, and walking the halls by myself.  I turned the Palmyra and Carrolton corner on the then "First Floor" at the same time Fr. Tompson was walking in front of the Resource Center.  He stopped.  I walked the length of the hallway up to him with just the two of us there.

When I reached him I said, "Hello, Father."  His response was, "Mr. Carriere, that will be out of your hair by Graduation."

I said, "Yes, Father, it should grow out by then."

He simply repeated, "Mr. Carriere, that will be out of your hair by Graduation."

I sheepishly replied, "Yes, Father."

I had three haircuts in the next two months to make sure there was not a trace of orange left by Graduation.
